After getting everything all set for eutester i wanted to begin trying to run my own tests but i first had to run euca2ools and start my own image. Most of it was straight forward and the guide that is posted on the wiki did its job. You can install euca2ools from source like the guide suggests, but I found it a lot easier to just to a apt-get install method of installing it.
For whatever reason though the cloud that our class is using was having some issues and the databased was deleted so my registration was gone, and the admin password seems to have been changed so i was not able to re-register when i was working on this.
So instead i decided to try and use the actual cloud that was given to us from Eucalyptus and ran into some issues. When trying to do the euca-authorize -p 22 default command it was giving me an ec2 error 400. So i will have to speak to some of the people in the euca2ools group today on a fix for this.
Other than that i managed to get my own instance up and running very easily, now its just a matter of getting that error fixed so that i can ssh into the image correctly, and begin using euTester to run tests.
More coming soon .
